Rosie Sharpe, Fine Arts
Rosie has worked at Five Acre since 2008. She has a degree in both Art and English Literature from the University of Washington, and also attended Penland School of Crafts for two years. She has completed Levels one and two Orff Schulewerk Certification (an innovative approach to teaching music) and plays Fiddle in a Contra Dance Band.Previous adventures include cooking on various boats in Alaska, designing textiles for industry, teaching yoga, and working at Children’s Montessori in Port Angeles.
Emily Carlquist-Bundy, Fiber Arts and Primary
Emily has been a part of our community since 2011 as a parent and a community supporter . She began teaching at Five Acre in 2021 in the Primary Class and assisted in all other classrooms. In 2022 Emily began teaching Fiber Arts in our K-6 classrooms and has fulfilled requirements to be one of our lead Primary teachers Primary two days a week. She has an undergraduate degree in ‘Women’s Empowerment: Community Development Through Fiber Arts’. Emily has always worked with children from running summer day camps, nannying as well as working abroad facilitating mixed media art with children.

Jason Cline
Jason Cline has two children who are both Five Acre Alumni. When his family decided to relocate to Sequim 11 years ago, a large factor in that decision was the presence of Five Acre School and what it had to offer. He chose to serve on the board to help ensure the school is here for future generations and to help protect and strengthen it’s unique educational model. Currently he is a Software Engineer. Susan Craig
Susan started her association with Five Acre in September of 2002 when her daughter Jessica started in the Primary class. She continued with her son Mathew entering primary in 2003, and both of her children finished 5th grade at Five Acre before entering the public school system for middle school. In 2005 she was hired as a Primary Assistant teacher, and worked in that classroom for 5 years until Mathew moved on to middle school. She has currently been employed with the Port Angeles Police Department and PenCom for the last 8 years as a 911 Dispatcher, the last 3 ½ years as a Communications Supervisor.
