Indoor Outdoor Play with Primary Class
Indoor Outdoor Play
We want to highlight some of the benefits of our open door play program. After our morning routine we open our classroom door to the playground allowing free choice between indoor and outdoor play throughout the day. This unstructured time enhances cognitive development, fine and gross motor skills, and social interactions. The children can follow their desire or need for action or quiet focused activities. The teachers observe and facilitate experiences rather than direct them. The children lead their own learning and have fun in the process.
